AMERICAN GLASS PRODUCTS LAUNCHES AGP VARIO PLUS INTELLIGENT GLASS AND BEGINS GLOBAL MARKETING CAMPAIGN AT SEMA SHOW
KNOXVILLE, TENESSEE, October 29, 2007 – American Glass Products (AGP) is pleased to announce that it will unveil its AGP Vario Plus-Sky SPD-SmartGlassTM as well as its AGP Vario Plus-Polar glass at the 2007 SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week. These new AGP intelligent glass products add innovative features to windows. It enables users to instantly and precisely control the amount of light, glare and heat coming through glass using either SPD light-control film technology or state-of-the-art nano-particles LC technology.
This event marks the launch of AGP’s global marketing campaign for AGP Vario Plus. With more than 900 employees, and production plants and marketing offices on five continents, AGP is one of world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of specialty glass to the automotive, marine, rail and architectural markets.
The company’s newest product, AGP Vario Plus, will be offered as a laminated glass, and will allow users to control the transparency of windows, sunroofs and other glazing products. With the touch of a button, AGP Vario Plus can switch from a completely dark/opaque state to a highly transparent one, or to any point in between. In addition to its unequalled shading capabilities, AGP Vario Plus offers exceptional safety and security benefits and it significantly reduces the amount of heat passing through the window into a vehicle’s cabin or other interior space. AGP Vario Plus also blocks more than 99% of harmful ultraviolet (UV) light.

Last October, American Glass Products (AGP) participated in the 15th edition of MILIPOL Paris, the worldwide exhibition for Military and Police products at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles .
In the exhibition, a large number of security market companies took part with attendance of more than 26.000 professional from 135 countries.
